We hold a monthly book club with the aim of reading LGBTQIA+ themed books or books by LGBTQIA+ authors.
This is often a great opportunity to learn about the experiences of other members of the LGBTQIA+ community or to read something that you might not usually choose.
There is absolutely no requirement to read the book each month though!
The monthly meetings are just as much a social gathering and sometimes we don't discuss that months book much at all.
We find that the books can be a great conversation starter, perhaps the subject matter particularly resonated with someone, or perhaps there was something that someone particularly disliked about the book!
There is no set reading list, towards the end of each meeting suggestions are put forward for next month's book, and after a brief discussion we usually have decided upon our next read!
