Volunteer Trustee Vacancy

Organisation: Pride in Chippenham CIC

Location: Remote and Chippenham-based (occasional in-person meetings)

Commitment: Part-time voluntary role (minimum 12-month term)


Pride in Chippenham is a Community Interest Company (CIC) working to celebrate, support, and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community in Chippenham and beyond. We’re looking for a new Trustee to join our Board and help guide our strategic direction, ensure good governance and champion inclusion in all that we do.


Essential

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community
  • Alignment with the values and vision of Pride in Chippenham
  • Ability to contribute positively to the direction of Pride in Chippenham, contributing skills to lead on initiatives (these can be led by you! We'd love to hear your strengths &  ideas)
  • Time to attend meetings and take on agreed actions
  • Confidence using Microsoft tools (Teams, Word, etc)
  • Empathic leadership and collaborative working style


Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Trustee or Non-Executive Director
  • Member of the LGBTQIA+ community (essential that you are otherwise an active ally)
  • Experience within the local business community


About the role


As a Trustee of Pride in Chippenham CIC, you’ll play a vital part in shaping our activities, ensuring accountability and helping the organisation thrive as a not-for-profit community body. Trustees act in the best interests of the CIC, uphold our mission, and share responsibility for its success and sustainability. Each trustee leads in one or more areas (eg finance, education and training, sponsorship, Pride365 etc) and we would love to hear what you'd like to bring to our leadership team.
